The World Health Organization said on Thursday that northern Gaza has been left without a functional hospital. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is beginning to fight Hamas in new areas of Gaza City, in the neighborhoods of Daraj and Tuffah, as it nears the end of the ground offensive in northern Gaza, an IDF spokesperson said on Wednesday. 

The death toll of Palestinians from Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip since October 7 has reached 20,000, including more than 8,000 children and 6,200 women, Gazan authorities said on Wednesday.
