Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, suffered an outage on Thursday.

The service, although accessible, is not showing tweets to users and their timelines are empty.

Users encountered loading issues on X Pro, formerly TweetDeck, with a message that said "Waiting for posts."

Over 81,000 outages were reported at around 2 p.m, according to Downdetector data, a website that tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including users.

The platform seemed to return to normal at around 2:43 p.m.
