01:56

More relief supplies have been distributed to the quake-hit Gansu and Qinghai provinces in northwest China, while more quake-affected families have moved into newly built temporary resettlement sites.

Among them, 1.12 million pieces of relief supplies were delivered to Gansu Province as of 6:00 p.m. on December 22, according to local authorities. Medical treatment has also seen progress there. A temporary medical treatment station, equipped with commonly used medicines, electro-cardiograph machine (ECG) and other monitoring equipment, was built in the past few days to meet the residents' needs.

On the evening of December 18, a magnitude-6.2 earthquake hit Jishishan County, Gansu Province, affecting neighboring Minhe County in Qinghai.
