A magnitude-6.2 earthquake jolted Jishishan County in northwest China's Gansu Province on Monday midnight at a depth of 10 kilometers. Many affected residents were relocated to temporary shelters. Numerous individuals spontaneously rushed to the earthquake-stricken area, carrying ingredients and cooking utensils, and providing hot meals for the people in need.
