Yantai City, in the eastern province of Shandong, recently hosted this year's "New Era, New Shandong Cuisine" competition. The contest featured over 100 innovative Shandong-style dishes, each earning respective prizes. These dishes skillfully preserve the traditional and distinctive culinary characteristics of Shandong cuisine while integrating a fusion of culinary expertise and captivating aesthetic presentations. Shandong cuisine, also known as Lu cuisine, stands as one of China's eight culinary traditions.
