The United States reopened two rail crossings between Texas and Mexico on Friday, five days after closing them in response to increased migrant traffic that disrupted a key export route.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced that operations resumed at 2 p.m. ET at the international railway crossing bridges in Eagle Pass and El Paso, Texas. The closures had raised concerns among railroads, the agriculture industry, and some lawmakers due to the economic impact on halted export trade.
