A total of 504 residents injured in a magnitude-6.2 earthquake that jolted part of northwest China earlier this week had been released from hospitals across Gansu Province as of 2 p.m. on December 23. According to the local authorities, 280 people are still hospitalized and most of the local health facilities have joined the treatment of the injured.
