– A magnitude-6.2 earthquake jolted Jishishan County in northwest China's Gansu Province at midnight on December 18 at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
– The earthquake has so far killed 117 people in Gansu and another 32 in the neighboring Qinghai Province while two people remain missing.
