Shaped like a heart, the comb jelly floats in darkness with iridescent color bands flowing through its transparent body like electric currents. The color bands are made up of tiny hairs called combs, hence it's named comb jelly. It waits patiently in the inky ocean until floating plankton creatures lured in by the dancing colors fall into its trap. Watch this episode to learn more about the comb jelly.
