China is stepping up efforts to build a unified national market and improve market access, said top officials at a State Council Information Office policy briefing on Tuesday.
Li Chunlin, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that China has made good progress in promoting the unified integration of basic systems and rules, and the high-standard interconnection of market facilities.
To promote fair competition for both domestic and foreign businesses, the new negative list for market access has been fully revised and China has carried out trials to integrate domestic and foreign trade, said Li.
The administration will continue to prioritize easing market access for new business forms.
Li noted that accelerating the development of a unified national market helps to release the potential of domestic demand, and consolidates the foundation for a sound economic recovery.
