Local officials say at least 160 people have been killed in central Nigeria in a series of attacks on villages. They say military gangs launched "well-coordinated" attacks in at least 20 communities in the state of Plateau. More than 300 wounded have been taken to hospitals. The violence is partially due to conflict between local herders and farmers. Climate change and expanding agriculture are also major factors.
