Rows of photovoltaic panels have been installed across a vast mining wasteland in Xilingol League of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. They're part of the country's push toward clean energy and restoring ecosystems. The renewable energy project will help reduce coal consumption, cut carbon dioxide emissions, and even reintroduce flora to the barren land.
