Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said his country is now under attack from Hezbollah on seven fronts in its northern border, with skirmishes to the east near Syria and Iraq and attacks on Israel-linked vessels in the Red Sea by the Houthis. James M. Dorsey, a senior fellow at the National University of Singapore's Middle East Institute, said the risk of enlarged conflict was there from day one, adding that it would not take much for the conflict to get out of control.
