Have you ever considered how visually impaired people "watch" movies? Data shows that 17.32 million people are living with visual impairment in China. Addressing the cultural and spiritual needs of such a significant population presented a considerable challenge for Chinese society and its relevant governmental departments in the past.
But now, the Guangming (Light) Cinema Project has enabled visually impaired people to enjoy the latest movies. During the 5th Hainan Island International Film Festival held in Sanya City, south China's Hainan Province, CGTN's Liu Xiaoxian invited a friend to a barrier-free movie screening.
