Argentina unions take to the streets to protest president's reforms

01:06

Thousands of members of the leading trade union center and social organizations in Argentina demonstrated on December 27 in front of the headquarters of the judiciary against the decree of President Javier Milei that deregulates the economy and contemplates labor reforms that they consider unfavorable for workers.

During the day of protest, the General Confederation of Labor made a presentation against the decree announced the week before by the president. The protest was mostly peaceful. There were incidents in a central avenue of the capital in which a small group of people confronted the police, who violently evicted them from the area and hit journalists who were recording the scene.
