Spain says it opposes using the European Union's anti-piracy naval force, Atalanta, in a U.S.-led coalition to protect Red Sea shipping from attacks by Yemen's Ansar Allah group, also known as the Houthis. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said Atalanta does not have "the characteristics" required to patrol the Red Sea.
