Foraging, frolicking and fluttering about, a group of black-necked cranes at a conservation area in Lhasa, Xizang present themselves as dancers this winter. The area is located at an average altitude of 4,200 meters, and is a main place for these birds to spend winter.
As a species that breeds on the plateau, the black-necked cranes mainly live in freshwater wetlands with an altitude of 2,500 to 5,000 meters above sea level.
