CGTN launches a 24-hour livestreaming event in seven cities worldwide on December 31 to celebrate the New Year with people from around the world. The livestream starts at 08:00 GMT (4 p.m. Beijing Time) simultaneously in Sydney, Xi'an, Changsha, Almaty, Cairo, Paris and Mexico City. Local residents in those seven cities are invited to go on air and talk about their new year resolutions, read a poem, or give new year blessings to others in front of our streaming camera.
