It has been two weeks since Shanghai loosened its purchasing restrictions on residential properties on December 15. Property sales in the city have seen an obvious recovery.
According to Chinese property agency Lianjia.com, the daily average sales of pre-owned apartments in Shanghai in the first week after the restrictions were loosened jumped by 27 percent compared with November. Sales cooled a little in the second week, but was still better than the period prior to the policy adjustment.
