Kyiv City Military Administration said via Telegram on Friday that two people were killed and 18 others injured in the Ukrainian capital after the Ukrainian Air Force said Russia had launched a massive missile attack on the country.
Apart from two confirmed deaths in Lviv and Kharkiv, Oleg Kiper, regional governor of Ukraine's Odesa, said the death toll in the region has risen to two. Meanwhile, regional governors reported four deaths in Dnipropetrovsk and one death in Zaporizhzhia.
In a social media post, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said a total of around 110 missiles were fired against Ukraine, with the majority of them being shot down.
There was no immediate comment from Russia about the attack.
