At least ten people were killed and 45 others were injured after a massive shelling of the center of Belgorod by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation said on Saturday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed about the strike on Belgorod, TASS reported, citing Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
Ukraine has not yet responded.
