China will simplify visa applications for U.S. tourists starting from January 1, 2024, as announced through an official statement.
Tourist visa applicants in the U.S. will no longer need to submit air ticket bookings, hotel reservations or an invitation letter, read the statement by the Chinese Embassy in the U.S.
Beijing had earlier eased the visa process for tourists from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia, allowing them to visit the country without a visa for up to 15 days starting from December 1.
