The Polish Border Guard announced Saturday on social media that the temporary border control between Poland and Slovakia will be extended until February 1, 2024.
The temporary border control was introduced on October 4 as an emergency measure due to what Poland said was a response to the continued influx of migrants from the Middle East and Afghanistan. The measure has since been extended four times and was set to expire on January 2 next year.
