We Talk: New Year wishes from Ukrainians hoping for peace

As 2023 draws to a close, the bell of 2024 is about to ring. In this festive period, CGTN visited Ukraine, Gaza, Israel and other conflict areas to show how people plan spend the New Year amid conflict. In this video, local people in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk talk about their lives, their thoughts on the past year and their New Year's resolutions. Medical volunteer Serafima Saulenko said her New Year's resolution is to provide help and support to as many people as she can. Sproges Olena Davydievna, head of a local shelter, expressed hope that the conflict would end, peace would return to her hometown and everyone would be able to return home safely.
