After listening to President Xi Jinping's speech at the central conference on work relating to foreign affairs, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said that "China and Russia bear the arduous task of safeguarding regional and global peace and stability and promoting the common development and prosperity of the world." 

The central conference on work relating to foreign affairs was held in Beijing from Wednesday to Thursday. Xi, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, delivered an important speech at the conference.
