Live: Dive into the Heavenly Lake in Xinjiang – A majestic natural wonder – Ep. 2

Situated in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, at the foothills of the Bogda Peak, lies the Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) Scenic Area, a national-level scenic spot and a 5A-grade tourist attraction. Covering a total area of 160 square kilometers (with a planned area of 548 square kilometers), this breathtaking landscape spans four distinct vertical natural zones, snow-capped mountains, high-altitude lakes and a rich cultural heritage.

Tianchi possesses its own distinct charm: crystal-clear and pure waters, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant wildflowers, earning it the renowned title of "Pearl of Tian Shan." Towering and verdant spruces and larch trees cover the mountains, creating a picturesque panorama that resembles a masterpiece of nature. In recognition of its significance, the Tianchi Scenic Area was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013.
