Israel has said that it anticipates a long war against Hamas, stretching throughout the year of 2024.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari made the remarks on Sunday, adding that the Israeli military was making adjustments to its deployment in the Gaza Strip.
Hagari said they would release some reservists who were called up to fight Hamas in Gaza, a move that would help the economy as the country prepares for a prolonged war.
