The Yangtze finless porpoise is the only freshwater finless porpoise in the world. So rare that it's known as the "panda in the water", it has been the object of a major conservation effort in China. This film follows three men, Wang Ding, Hao Yujiang and Ding Zeliang,telling the story of the tremendous efforts that have been made over the past 30 years to protect the Yangtze finless porpoise. It also reveals the challenges faced in achieving the only successful example of ex situ conservation of freshwater cetaceans in the world.
