Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Wednesday sent a message of condolence to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida over the strong earthquake that hit Japan on Monday.
In his message, Li said that upon learning of the earthquake, which has caused heavy casualties and property losses in Japan, he would like to express deep condolences over the victims and sincere sympathy to the bereaved families and the injured people on behalf of the Chinese government.
China is ready to provide necessary support to Japan in earthquake relief, Premier Li added, adding that China believes people in the disaster-hit areas will overcome difficulties and rebuild their homes at an early date under the leadership of the Japanese government.
