Harbin in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province was one of the country's hottest tourist destinations over the recently concluded New Year holiday season, with Harbin Ice and Snow World proving the most popular destination across the country, according to Tongcheng Travel, one of China's largest online travel platforms.

Renowned as one of China's leading winter tourism destinations, the city has been attracting crowds of tourists with its mix of dazzling ice and snow sculptures, wide variety of winter sports events and entertainment, and the warm hospitality of the local people.
