Tourists from China and Thailand are set to enjoy each other's countries and rich cultures as new visa waiver agreements are expected to soon come into effect. Earlier this week, Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced the adoption of a permanent visa-free policy for Chinese tourists to Thailand from March onwards, following what was previously a temporary visa waiver that was to lapse on February 29.

It is reported that 3.4 million tourists from China visited Thailand in 2023. It is understood that searches for Thailand jumped by around 158 percent on a Chinese travel website within half an hour of the announcement, compared to the same period the day before. Check out these images of some of what Thailand has to offer.
