The rice cake is a must-eat traditional food item in China during Spring Festival. While dumplings take the absolute spotlight on dining tables during festive seasons in the northern regions, in the southern parts of China, preparing rice cakes is definitely the way to celebrate.
In a small workshop in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, local villagers are busy making rice cakes as Spring Festival in February draws closer. The daily processing capacity is over 1,500 kilograms.
