A snow and ice lantern festival is being held at Muling River Park in Jixi, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Loong. A total of 48 sets of lanterns, divided into five themes, will light up the night sky there until March. Visitors can not only appreciate the dazzling, colorful lanterns and the natural beauty of the Muling River, but also enjoy a variety of events including molten iron-throwing shows, Sichuan Opera face-changing performances and hanfu parades.
