Meet "Left and Right Boy," a popular figure on Chinese social media who dances with tens of thousands of people every day at minus 20 degrees Celsius. He is among the attractions at the 40th Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, which officially opened in Heilongjiang Province on January 5.

This year visitors are being treated to over 100 different ice and snow leisure activities and Harbin Ice-Snow World is expanding to a record size of 810,000 square meters, with approximately 250,000 cubic meters of ice and snow having been crafted into landmark buildings. The festival's opening marked the beginning of Harbin's winter tourism golden period, with the event set to run until early March.
