The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) confirmed that it conducted a coastal artillery firing drill on Sunday and the drill did not pose any threat to an "enemy," state media KCNA reported, adding the drills were conducted parallel to maritime border.

Earlier, the Republic of Korea's military said some 90 artillery shots were fired into waters off its western coast on Sunday, which marked the third consecutive day of DPRK's artillery drills in the area, Yonhap reported.
