Russian air defenses destroyed six Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles over the northwestern part of the Black Sea on Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Attempts by Ukraine to launch an attack using Neptune anti-ship missiles at targets in Russia were stopped at around 5 p.m. Moscow time on Saturday, it said. Six Ukrainian missiles were detected and destroyed over the northwestern part of the Black Sea by the air defense systems on duty," it added.

Ukraine has not responded to the claim yet.
