Utilizing its abundant ice and snow resources, Northeast China has bolstered the development of winter recreation areas, creating new opportunities for economic growth in winter tourism.

Jilin Province, renowned for its captivating rime scenery formed by plummeting temperatures and river mist, attracts numerous tourists. The region provides diverse means of exploration, including snow-field motorbikes and horse-drawn sledges. Tourists can take photos with and feed reindeer to get in touch with the lovely animals closely and learn about the culture of the ethnic minority.

Additionally, cities in Liaoning Province organize distinctive themed activities that integrate ice-snow resources, customs, and sports, providing tourists with opportunities to immerse themselves in the local culture.

With a variety of tourism offerings, Daomeng Town in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, has become a magnet for tourists nationwide, fueling the development of the local winter tourism economy.

Daomeng Town hosted an ice-snow sports meeting, featuring athletes who are local villagers. Participants engaged in activities such as tug-of-war on snow, skating, and ice carting, showcasing the distinctive regional characteristics of Liaoning.

"We participate in the event every year. Welcome all of you to come to our town and enjoy the winter enchantment in the new year," a Villager said.
