00:58

Construction of the Xihoumen railway-highway dual-use bridge is making significant progress as concrete pouring for the bored piles of the bridge's main pier has been completed on Sunday. Stretching 3,118 meters with a 68-meter-wide deck, the bridge will become the world's largest dual-use bridge accommodating both highway and railway traffic. Its bored piles have also set new world records for their designed diameter of 6.3 meters and designed depth of 90 meters. The bridge, once completed, will serve as a cross-sea bridge for both the Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway and the Ningbo-Zhoushan Expressway.
