Communicating through letters is like talking to each other face to face. Chinese President Xi Jinping often communicates with the youth through letters. Renato Peneluppi comes from Brazil. In 2010, he started to study for his master's degree and doctorate at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He later started his own international education business with his partners. In 2021, he attended the Global Young Leaders Dialogue and joined other young participants from abroad to send a letter to President Xi Jinping. President Xi's reply inspired him to continue learning, travel to more places in China and continue to contribute to promoting friendship between China and Brazil. During his 12 years in Wuhan, Peneluppi saw the rapid development of China's economy and felt the convenience brought by Chinese modernization. He believes China is exploring a new model of modernization and development. In particular, China's success in eradicating absolute poverty, promoting common prosperity and improving the ecological environment serves as an example for the Global South.
