The APEC meetings have just concluded in San Francisco. Political and business leaders from 21 economies are gathering to discuss how to build a more interconnected, innovative, and inclusive APEC region. Also attending the event is Chinese President Xi Jinping, who delivered a written speech at the CEO summit and who earlier met with his American counterpart Joe Biden. What are the main takeaways so far of this year's APEC meetings? What were the highlights of President Xi's speech to the CEOs? And could we soon see a positive transformation of China-U.S. ties?

Guests in this edition of Dialogue are Professor John Gong from the University of International Business & Economics; Syed Mahmud Ali, associate fellow at the Institute of China Studies at the University of Malaya; and Professor Peter Kuznick from American University.
