Twenty-nine student representatives from Columbia University in the United States visited the Dujiangyan Irrigation System in Dujiangyan City, southwest China's Sichuan Province on Monday. The group of students were the first of thousands of young people from the U.S. expected to take part in exchange programs to China over the next five years. The students also tried their hand at traditional tea art and practicing Taoist martial arts on Qingcheng Mountain. Many of them said they were excited to be able to experience and learn from Chinese intangible cultural heritage.
