Craftspeople and artisans have been spotted working around the clock to create a stunning setting for an upcoming lantern fair at Shanghai's iconic Yuyuan Garden as part of the city's Chinese New Year celebrations. The annual event, one of the country's oldest lantern fairs, will be held in mid-to-late January and will run for more than 40 days to help usher in the upcoming Year of the Loong (Dragon). Inspired by the ancient Chinese text "Classic of Mountains and Rivers," a series of beautiful lanterns and art installations have been created based on images from the book and set up around the garden.
