As Spring Festival approaches, Wang Zhirong, a provincial-level inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Shanxi Province, is employing traditional copper engraving techniques to produce copper seals featuring the figure of a loong (dragon), ushering in the peak production season for the Year of the Loong.

The art of copper engraving is a long-standing traditional handicraft in China. In Jishan, Yuncheng of Shanxi Province, copper engraving has a history dating back more than a century. In May 2023, it was included in the sixth batch of Shanxi's provincial-level intangible cultural heritage representative project list.
