International efforts to end conflict in Gaza

CGTN

28:21

A delegation of Muslim and Arab diplomats have met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing as part of a global effort to gain support to end hostilities in Gaza as the civilian death toll continues to rise. Countries of the Global South have emphasized calls for peace while Western countries that have supported Israel’s incursion into Gaza are also urging for an immediate ceasefire. Is Israel heeding these calls? What more can the international community do to deliver humanitarian assistance to the thousands of Palestinians caught in the cross-fire? Guests in this episode of Dialogue are Pieter Pandie, researcher at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Jakarta, Indonesia; Prof. Wang Jin from the Northwest University of China; Rick Dunham, visiting scholar of Tsinghua University; and Comfort Ero, president and CEO of Crisis Group.
