Chinese President Xi Jinping has wrapped up his two-day visit to Vietnam, his first in six years. The two sides signed over 30 agreements in a variety of fields and agreed to build a community with a shared future. What were the highlights of the visit? What’s in there for both countries to upgrade their relationship? And how important is the relationship to the two socialist countries? To discuss these issues and more, we're joined by Nguyen Khac Giang, visiting fellow of Vietnam Studies Programme of ISEAS - Yusof Ishak Institute; Victor Gao Zhikai, chair professor of Soochow University; Prof. Anna Rosario Malindog-Uy, director and vice president for external affairs of the Asian Century Philippines Strategic Studies Institute; and Marco Förster, head of ASEAN advisory at Dezan Shira & Associates.
