We Talk: How do Maldivians view relations with China?

China and the Maldives elevated their bilateral ties to a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership on Wednesday. In recent years, the China-Maldives ties have developed in depth, and the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and exchanges and cooperation in various fields have yielded fruitful results. CGTN Stringer took to the streets of Maldives to ask local residents about their impressions of China and what they hope to see in the future between the two countries. Some people said that the Chinese people are very kind and friendly, and they hope that more and more Chinese people will come to the Maldives to travel. They also said they hope to strengthen industrial cooperation with China.
