Josep Borrell, high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy, said in a social media post on Friday that he had discussed growing tensions in the Red Sea and the need to preserve freedom of navigation with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.
They also discussed the need for pauses of hostilities to address the terrible humanitarian situation in Gaza and free all hostages, Borrell added.
