The United States and Britain have launched strikes from the air and sea against Houthi military targets in Yemen. The Friday morning strikes are the first since the Houthis started targeting international shipping in the Red Sea late last year. The Houthi leader warned on Thursday that any U.S. attack on his group will not go without a response. Einar Tangen, a senior fellow at the Beijing-based think tank, Taihe Institute, says only a resolution in Gaza would create a pause for all parties to go back to the negotiation table.
