New recruits have joined Yemen's Houthi group amid a surge in its popularity in the country. The group recently stated that its attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea are not intended to "sink" ships linked to Israel but rather to force them to redirect to other routes to exert "economic pressure" on the Jewish state.
