Yemen's Houthis vow strong and effective response after U.S.-UK strikes

02:45

Yemen's Houthi group say the recent air strikes on their positions by the U.S. and the UK will not deter them from continuing their attacks on commercial ships linked to Israel. They vow to launch more strikes soon. The U.S. says it hit a radar site in Yemen on Saturday. It comes a day after dozens of U.S. and UK strikes on Houthi targets in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa and other areas. The Houthis say Saturday's strike caused no injuries or material damage. The militant group has threatened what it calls a "strong and effective response." Tensions have been escalating in the Red Sea, with Washington saying that it will protect shipping. Iran has condemned the U.S. and UK attacks as "arbitrary" and a "violation" of international law.
